| I don't care; I like Valentine's Day. I liked it when I was single too, so don't hate!

| Maybe they're just typos where your finger slips, but I can't help notice more and more that people often interchange these two words even though they don't mean the same thing.
LOSE verb, lost, los-ing. –verb (used with object) To come to be without (something in one's possession or care), through accident, theft, etc., so that there is little or no prospect of recovery To suffer loss

Also, I understand that people just do this for convenience in online conversations and things, but if someone has the time to write out a long post, I am going to assume he/she made certain basic grammatical errors because he/she either don't care or don't know. I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume he/she doesn't know SO for the general public's information,
YOUR is not the same as YOU'RE.
"Your" is possessive. You use it like the word "my" as in "my dog" or "your cat."
"You're" is a contraction made up of two words--"you" and "are." Just as you wouldn't write "I really like you are cat," you wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) say "I really like you're cat." In the same way, DON'T USE "YOUR" AS A SUBJECT BECAUSE IT'S NOT!
I'm sorry if this sounds mean. I just like good grammar. Also, this isn't directed towards anyone in particular! It was just incited by random xangas and facebook notes (don't act like you don't read any).

| So Chris and I want to rent a gondola for an hour during Christmas break to see the lights of the houses on the canals in Naples. It's $25/person and we need six people in a group (i.e. four other people) so if anyone is interested, let me know! I want to make a reservation by December 2nd, so just let me know by the end of the week.
Here's the website for the company: http://www.gondolagetawayinc.com/

| I want think of something profound to say but I don't really have anything like that going on in my brain right now so here are a list of New Year's resolutions that I will begin working on once it's January 1st, but until then I'm taking full advantage of the self-indulgence associated with the holiday season.
1. Keep my temper! Or at least wait 24 hrs before saying anything in anger. 2. Eat more vegetables...that aren't fried. (Bad Example #1: French Fries) 3. Work out more (maybe....actual times per week may vary if resolution is enforced at all) 4. No B's of any kind (for at least the rest of the school year--this quarter not included unless it qualifies)
